Judge Nkola Motata involved in another crashPosted: July 3, 2011
Judge Nkola Motata has been involved in yet another car crash, this time his Jaguar crashed with a taxi in Braamfontein, in the Johannesburg CBD.
Metro police spokesperson inspector Wayne Minnaar said Motata’s car and a taxi were involved in a collision. He was unable to say if anyone was injured. When asked if liquor played a role, Minnaar said Motata was sober.
Motata crashed his Jaguar through the wall of businessman Richard Baird’s home in Sandton, Johannesburg, in January 2007.
In 2009, the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court convicted him of drunk driving and sentenced him to a fine of R20 000 or 12 months’ imprisonment.
