Land redistribution without compensation a possibilityPosted: July 11, 2011
Land Reform and Rural Development Minister Gugile Nkwinti has according to reports in the City Press said that the expropriation of land without compensation is a possibility in future if the current leadership fails to speed up land reform.
City Press reported on Sunday that Nkwinti told the newspaper it was important to be “realistic” about the call of the ANC Youth League for the forced takeover of land to speed up redistribution.
“Julius says we as the youth league put the matter the way we think we should put it, and says the minister will have to find a way of putting it in government language. That’s my job and he was correct,” Nkwinti said.
Sadly some in the ANC structures, Julius Malema, more so than other have mastered the art of ignorant crowd pleasing speeches like a certain neighbor up north.
An art perfected by a German in the early 20th century, rouse the crowds, please them. You grow in political stature to the detriment of a particular race, the economy or both.
I hope this cheap politicking does not go far and up within the ANC echelons and into the psych of ordinary South Africans.
